On 2015, i moved from Istanbul, which is a metropolis in Turkey, to a much smaller city, Adana. I was working in a design office in Istanbul. Now, I'm working as a freelance graphic designer in Adana.
In Turkey, Graphic Design has been mostly based on a single city - Istanbul. Typography and graphic design, is an untouched field in other towns (81 in total) except Izmir and Ankara. Throughout the year, i met beautiful people who produce and value designing, typography and art in Adana. And I wanted to produce something both for these people and the city I live in.
Besides, during the designing period, I realised that there's a letterpress printing machine called Adana. That's why I decided to print the postcard in letterpress.
At first, the project began as a Travel Guide (70x100 cm) Due to the massive amount of data and the lack of time, I decided to turn the work to a postcard. Finally, working with “Yulabaskı”(printing), we printed 100 pieces of letterpress of this postcard.
